2012-2013
And the winner is…
Students from across the state voted in schools, public libraries, and online to select their favorite books as part of the Maryland Black-Eyed Susan Book Award program. The student selections are:
Picture Book – Cat Secrets by Jef Czekaj
Grades 4-6 – Wild Wings by Gill Lewis
Grades 6-9 – A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz
High School – Divergent by Veronica Roth
Congratulations to our winning authors and publishers and to the students, teachers, and librarians who every year make the program such a resounding success. This year we again welcomed numerous first-time participating schools and students.
