Celebrate Reading!

and the
Maryland Black-Eyed Susan Book Award

Join MASL aboard the Black-Eyed Susan, "an authentic 'turn-of-the-century' paddlewheel-driven riverboat" on Saturday May 3 at 12:30 for a 3-hour cruise.  Enjoy the beautiful Baltimore Inner Harbor from this unique viewpoint, dine on a wonderful "Summer Buffet" lunch, find out the nominated Black-Eyed Susan books for 2008-2009, and most important, learn first hand the winners of the Black-Eyed Susan Book Awards for 2007-2008.

Our guest author on board will be Johanna Hurwitz.  Her book Rip-Roaring Russell was an ALA Notable Book.  Johanna is a former school librarian whose books have been chosen for numerous state awards.
